Alexis has her first pet. We bought Alexis an adorable male beta fish, she named him Goldilocks. He got to sleep in his bowl in her bed during her nap. She is really enjoys having a little pet that is all hers. She does not have to share him with anyone.
This morning when we came downstairs to get breakfast Alexis went ahead of me and the first thing she said is Goldilocks is sleeping, right away I thought oh no he is dead. I walked over and he was sitting on the bottom of the bowl. PHEW! So here is the ethical question, as I looked at this fish I think so when you do die what am I going to do? Am I going to tell her you are sleeping and quickly replace you with another blue beta, or am I going to explain you
As I took a picture of Alexis feeding her new fish I could not help but think I am going to be looking at this picture in a couple days trying to find another similar fish to replace Goldilocks. Oh no I am going to be just like my mom and dad. They never wanted to tell my sister and me that our pets had passed away, it would be days the dog or cat would have disappeared and I would finally ask what happened to them and that is when they would drop the bomb, "I am sorry Baby Zues died a week ago." I am going to be that same type but I plan to take it the extra step and replace the pet with a fake!!!
