We got back yesterday from the beach. We had a great time the girls got to see their great grandmother Elsie, it was so cute both the girls really lover her, Emme went right up and gave her hug after hug and Alexis danced, sang and showed her all of her tricks. It was a great weekend it was the perfect temperature around 80 degrees, the water was warm and much to William's delight great waves.
William surfed most of the day, it was scary at one point the waves were so big and I could not find him. The girls and I were walking down the beach and saw the other surfer who had been in the water with him and so I stopped and asked "is the big guy still out surfing?"and he replied "no he went in awhile ago." I though oh on where did he go I did not see him, so I started to search the beach with my eyes and my concern grew....till I saw him appear about a mile down the beach walking towards us the current was so strong it had carried him all the way down the beach. phew! I really did not want to raise my girls all alone!!!
We dug more holes in the sand as Alexis directed from the side deeper, wider, stairs, slide, bed....she knows what she wants. I got to chase Emme straight into the surf where she would plop down at the waters edge and let the water wash over her. Another great beach weekend, the girls are getting tanner and blonder everyday.
Our summer is flying by soon Alexis will be in preschool three days a week including Ballet on Tuesday's. It will be a busy school year. So I am trying to enjoy this totally free summer.
