First Birthday Pictures

So if anyone has tried to get pictures of there one year old smiling, posing, sitting just doing anything other than running towards the camera you know how my day went. Well I knew it was going to be a tough day when noon hit and the baby was still sleeping and Alexis was tired and ready to got to sleep. So I had an idea how things were going to go.

I had picked out a bunch of outfits for the photo's due to the fact my hubby said "I want lots of different outfits" I am sure he does he is not the one changing the girls ten times and trying to keep them from getting fussy. The guy taking the pictures was determined to make Emme smile I tried to explain to just take the pictures and there will be some good ones but he just barely took 80 pictures normally you come out of there with like 130 so that shows how slow he was.

Within the first frame the the baby did not want to sit she just wanted to grab the camera. I was in a full sweat wrangling the baby to try and get just one where they are both looking at the camera, every time I would get them both sitting and ready to have the picture taken I would look back at this young guy and he would have the camera on his lap saying "ok girl smile Emme" and making some silly face and sounds, I could have ripped the camera out of his hands and taken the pictures myself. He is lucky I was pretty calm because I had a major migraine and was worn out from the wrangling.

The other problem is Alexis for some reason flips her upper lip up when she is faking a smile, I am not sure how to explain to smile like she means it or do not flip your upper lip under or please look natural. So she looks a little maniacal, see attached picture show. And even with all these issues I still ended up spending $150 who know what all I bought but I am surrrre it was worth it.
